For us Hirondelle is not only a job: it's a life project, a comeback, a growth and a stay togheter creating a thread linking what there was with what there is.

Less is more

Our rooms are 10 and are spread over 3 floor and each of them is characterized by a color and an element of the forest. They want to recreate the armony and the light of the nature that hosts us and they are designed to improve the quality of your sleep, to give you a deep rest and to make you feel at ease, like at home.

Our bistro dishes are born with an attempt to enhance, with simplicity, local and seasonal products, without however renouncing some element of other culinary cultures. Every evening we propose a menu made up of an entrée, a starter, a main course and a dessert. The menus are balanced with attention to the presence of all essential nutrients.

A circular hiking route of almost 350 km that crosses more than 40 municipalities of the Aosta Valley overflowing Hirondelle.

A journey into the heart of the territory where history has left clear signs, important archaeological sites and imposing castles, but also an opportunity to discover the architecture of the villages, local traditions still alive and rooted and also the rural landscape, in which forests, pastures and vineyards alternate.

Fallère Lake

By car we reach the village of Thouraz, half an hour from us.
From there the trail starts, which developing both on farm tracks (beautiful to travel also by MTB and GRAVEL) and paths, crosses alpine pastures and meadows until reaching a wonderful lake at the foot of Mont Fallère. From there, as if on a terrace, you can enjoy a splendid view of the mountains, first of all the majestic Grivola.
If you are an experienced hiker, from the lake you can continue and reach the top of Mont Fallère (3,061 mt), with the final stretch on the ridge to be traveled carefully because of short passages on rocks, but equipped with chains.

Vernet pond and Punta Chaligne

If you like to walk uphill, lace up your shoes, leave the hotel and start walking straight ahead, always up.
After 800 meters of elevation gain you can rest on the prairies surrounding the Vernet Pond. Otherwise, if your legs have a good workout, continue until you reach Punta Chaligne, at 2,608 mt.
A challenging and very rewarding climb that will have the city of Aosta at your feet.
If you are a two-wheeler lover, you can ride the first kilometers, arriving just below the pond also by MTB or GRAVEL!

Ru Neuf

Ideal route for lovers of level walks and peace: a soft, quiet and all-flat path that runs alongside a water canal, the Ru Neuf, built in the 14th century to bring water from streams originating from glaciers to the arid slopes (adret) and allow them to be cultivated.
This route, which is part of the Via Francigena and the Camino Balteo, is particularly recommended in the warm months because it is cooled by the shade of the forests, but it is performable all year round.
Also great for a relaxed MTB outing. And for those who want to toil a bit more, we recommend continuing the ride until you reach the Chaligne Refuge!
